MMA ODDS AND ENDS FOR TUESDAY: VALÉRIE LÉTOURNEAU OFFICIALLY SIGNS WITH BELLATOR, TOM BREESE INJURED

The news broke Friday, afterward confirmed on Monday that the former UFC strawweight title challenger Val??rie L??tourneau has signed with Bellator MMA. L??tourneau (8-6) heads into her promotional debut off three consecutive losses, suffering setbacks to Joanna J??drzejczyk, Joanne Calderwood and most lately Viviane Pereira last December in UFC 206. From the UFC, the American Top Team product was discharged following her current slide earlier this season.
The 33-year-old L??tourneau will fit in nicely into the 125-pound flyweight division of Bellator and has had trouble in the past making the strawweight limitation in the UFC. She strove for Season 18 of The Ultimate Fighter but was removed after dropping by first-round submission.
Where she took a success in June 2014 l??tourneau was given a second chance on short note. She followed that up with wins over Jessica Rakoczy and Maryna Moroz that earned her a title shot against J??drzejczyk in UFC 193. UFC middleweight Tom Breese announces torn ACL, UFC return unidentified UFC middleweight Tom Breese announced on his Instagram that he’s torn his ACL, and there is no timetable for his return. Breese (10-1) was pulled at the last minute out of a scheduled bout with Oluwale Bamgbose in UFC Fight Night 107 back in March due to an irregularity along with his heart rate. The 25-year-old endured his career’s first setback in his final struggle, enduring a loss to Sean Strickland at UFC 199.
